The blaze caused damage to several vehicles and part of a house, police have said.
The pictures show two cars and a van ravaged by the flames.
Police have added they are investigating the exact causes of the fire and are asking anyone who saw what happened to get in touch.
Joanne Burgess, who lives three doors down from where the cars were on fire, said: “At around 5am, I heard bangs outside.
"I pulled up the blinds and the whole street was orange. I could see flames coming from a van down the road.”
She added: “I was so shocked and just didn’t expect there to be huge flames in the middle of the street.
“I woke my daughter up to alert her to the danger and by the time we had gone downstairs, the Fire Brigade were already there.”
A police spokesperson said: “Officers will remain in the area throughout the course of the day as enquiries continue.
“If you were in the area at the time of the incident and witnessed anything suspicious, please contact 101 and quote incident number 44240104689.
