Mark Noke's family have said they are "haunted and heartbroken" as those responsible for his death were jailed for more than 125 years.
The 64-year-old's family issued a statement shortly after seven men were jailed for a combined 128 and a half years following his murder in February last year.
Following the sentencing, they said: "Mark was fatally stabbed on 25 Feb 2023 in his own home.
"To the emergency response team, first responders and air ambulance crew, your attempt to save Mark's life on that fateful night is sincerely appreciated.
"Though the outcome was heartbreaking, your courage and swift actions warm our hearts. Thank you.
"Our gratitude to the CPS. Anthony Johns and Nicole Quinquenel.
"Your kind words of encouragement throughout our ordeal is greatly appreciated and will be fondly remembered.
"We would like to thank our Senior Investigating Officer DCI Howard Broadribb, DC Rob Munro, DS Louise Mills plus each and everyone of your team for your immense effort in bringing those responsible for Mark's death to justice.
"With your determination, kindness and thoughtfulness you have enabled us, as a family, to somehow endure the worst time of our lives.
"Thank you also to our Liaison Officers, DC Ellie Light and DC Kate Chapman for your unwavering support and patience.
"May we also thank our legal team. Adam Vaitilingam KC, Jodie Mittell and Holly Fagan for your support, dedication and professionalism.
"Your commitment to justice has not only honoured Mark's memory but has also contributed to the healing process for our family.
"Finally, we wish to thank the jury who followed this case so diligently for eight weeks.
"The evidence submitted at this trial was complex. We shall be forever grateful for your tenacity and resilience throughout this incredibly difficult process.
"Although we remain haunted and heartbroken by the tragic end to Mark's life we are thankful Mark has received the justice he so deserves.
