A motorcyclist was injured after a major Southampton road was closed yesterday.
Southampton City Council warned residents on X, formerly known as Twitter, that police had closed a section Kingsway, near to where the incident took place on St Mary’s Place on Wednesday.
A crash involving a car and a motorcycle resulted in a motorcyclist sustaining minor injuries.

Around an hour later, the city council released an update stating that police had left the area and any debris from the crash had been cleared from St Mary’s Place and Kingsway.
Confirming the incident took place, a spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: “We were called just after 1pm, on Wednesday, March 14, to a collision in St Mary's Place.
“This involved a car and a motorbike and minor injuries were reported.”
