A woman in her 70s was left with serious injuries after a hit-and-run in Southampton.
Officers were alerted to the collision shortly after 4.10pm yesterday at the junction of Bath Road and Bursledon Road involving a blue Toyota Yaris and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian was hit by the car and the driver of the Toyota did not stop at the scene.
The car had been reported stolen from Newcombe Road in Southampton between 5.30pm on Wednesday and 4.15pm on Friday.
The pedestrian, a woman in her 70s, suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The car was found shortly afterwards in Deacon Road and witnesses reported two males running away from the car.
They are described as Asian and aged in their mid-20s. One had a beard and the other was wearing a purple beanie hat.
A police spokesperson has said: “If you have any information about this collision or the identity of the two men seen leaving the Toyota, please get in touch with us.
“We would particularly like to speak to anyone with relevant dash cam or CCTV footage.
“Anyone with information can call 101, or report online via our website, quoting reference 44240112208.”
