A man was Tasered and taken away in handcuffs by police in a Southampton suburb late on Sunday night as residents watched on, eyewitnesses have told the Echo.
At around 10.50pm on Sunday night, March 18, residents of Winchfield Close, Weston, were woken by several emergency vehicles descending on their quiet cul-de-sac.
One resident told the Echo that a car was stopped by police in Winchfield Close and a man ran from officers in the direction of Kingsclere Avenue.

She said that the man was Tasered by police officers and fell onto the ground, after which he was put in handcuffs and arrested.
Witnesses to the incident have said that the police tested the man for drugs and alcohol.
