The M271 in Southampton has reopened after it was closed for hours due to a police incident.
The motorway was shut between the M27 and junction one for Southampton at around 6.20pm yesterday.
Police attended the scene on the southbound carriageway and motorists were told to expect delays.

ROAD OPEN
The earlier police-led incident has been resolved and the road re-opened.
Traffic has been released following a block to remove the closure.

The incident was cleared at around 9pm with National Highways removing cones to reopen the road at around 9.20pm.
The nature of the incident is not known at this time.
Hampshire Constabulary has been contacted for more information.
