A shoplifter attempted to steal meat from a store before tipping the contents out of a bag, police have said.
Hampshire Police are investigating the incident at M&S in Whiteley Shopping Centre on March 16.
It was reported that shortly before 11am a man tried to steal meat worth £250.
On attempting to leave the store, the man was challenged by security staff.
He then tipped out meat from a bag before verbally abusing staff and leaving M&S.

The man has been described as white, aged in his 50s, of medium build with grey/brown hair.
Officers are now looking to speak to a man, pictured, in relation to this and other similar incidents.
A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: “Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting the crime reference number 44240114365.
“Alternatively, you can report information via our website.”
