The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...
LEON CHIMA, 31, of Mayfield Road, Southampton admitted to driving without insurance and driving whilst disqualified on Portswood Road. He also pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled drug of Class A, cocaine. He received a one-year community order with 50 hours of unpaid work and a six-month driving ban. An order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs and he was fined £250. Chima must also pay £85 court costs.
CARL HOUGHTON, 47, of Queen Park Avenue, Bournemouth pleaded guilty to failing to report an accident as the driver of a vehicle. This related to a Honda Accord he was driving on Tollbar Way in Hedge End. He was ordered to pay £50 compensation, a £369 fine, £85 court costs and a £148 surcharge. Houghton received five points on his licence.
NAAFI ABDUL, 39, of Broadis Way, Rainham was found guilty of using a phone whilst driving a Mercedes Sprinter on the M3 southbound at Winchester Services. He was fined £230 and received six points on his licence. Abdul must also pay £310 court costs and a £92 surcharge.

ANTHONY TAYLOR, 73, of Lordswood Gardens, Southampton admitted to being in charge of a vehicle whilst unfit through drink at Southampton Central Train Station on Blechynden Terrace. He was banned from driving for six months and fined £538. He also received 10 points on his licence and must pay £85 court costs plus a £215 surcharge.
LAURA DAVISON, 46, of Grove Park Gardens, London pleaded guilty to drink driving on Beckley Road, New Milton. She was caught with 73 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath. Davison was banned from driving for 20 months and fined £420. She must pay £85 court costs and a £176 surcharge.
