Three teens have been arrested after a 16-year-old boy was hospitalised with stab wounds in an altercation near a Hampshire branch of McDonalds.

Police are now appealing for witnesses after a 16-year-old boy was seriously assaulted near McDonalds in Cosham at around 7pm on Thursday, March 21.

The 16-year-old was treated at hospital for small stab wounds to his arm, stomach and thigh.

He remains in hospital and his condition is described as stable.

Officers are searching for more information after three people were seen to leave the scene near McDonalds in a car.

The police said that three teens have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

A spokesperson for the force said: “We were called just before 7pm to Portsmouth Road in Cosham after the boy was assaulted.

“Three teenage boys, two aged 16 and one aged 17 all from Portsmouth, were subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

“They remain in custody at this time.
