Residents have raised concerns over a planning application that has been submitted to Eastleigh Borough Council which will see two homes built on a busy Hedge End estate.
The application, that was received by the council on March 18, will see two, three-bedroom homes build on a parcel of land to the rear Beech Road in Hedge End, Southampton.
As stated within the application, the land is surrounded by residential properties on all four sides and currently sits vacant and unused.
Each of the two homes will be fitted with two car parking spaces and a garden – similar to the other properties in the area.
The application states that a new garden area would be provided to number 1, Beech Road, as the access road to the new properties would cut through the garden.
It also states that two new parking spaces would be provided for the existing dwelling.

Residents of the area have began offering their opinions on the proposed new two home development.
Hedge End resident of Lower Northam Road, Michael Johansen, said: “As a resident in the immediate vicinity of the construction work, this will have a severe impact on our living conditions.
“We strongly object to the above planning application for the construction of two detached three-bedroom dwellings.
“The land backs on to houses on all sides and adding two more houses so close to others will be visually intrusive to neighbours as well as having a ridiculously small entrance road - which would be difficult to get emergency vehicles down to."
As well as raising concerns about the new homes overlooking existing properties gardens, Mr Johanssen said that he was also concerned about the impact of the building work on residents.
He continued: “I hope the council takes a firm stance on denying this application and stop the massive nuisance the construction would cause to all inhabitants of the area.”
