As the UK gears up for a four-day long weekend over Easter, the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind on Thursday.
The weather warning will be in place from 7am to 6pm on Thursday, March 28, and high winds are expected to batter the city – along with bouts of rain.
The Met Office said that a wet and breezy day is likely, with spells of rain and blustery showers spreading north across the region through the day.
Temperatures are expected to reach a maximum temperature of 12 °C.
The warning area covers most of the south coast - from the Isles of Scilly to Eastbourne.

“There is a slight chance that power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage.
“There is a small chance that injuries could occur from large waves and beach material being thrown onto sea fronts, coastal roads and properties.
“There is a small chance that some roads and bridges could close.”
