A large pile of asbestos-contaminated waste has been dumped outside a housing development.
The towering mountain of rubbish has been left on Burnetts Lane, near to the One Horton Heath site.
Several filled black bags can be seen along with wooden items, plastic fencing, and various other items of waste.
Eastleigh Borough Council confirmed it is aware of the fly-tipping and it is set to be safely removed.
A spokesperson said: “As it is believed to contain asbestos, the council has arranged for appropriately licenced contractors to attend the site and remove the waste safely.
“All of the fly-tipped waste should be removed by early next week.
“We don’t expect this fly-tipping to have any impact on the ongoing work on-site.”
The One Horton Heath scheme has been under scrutiny in recent months following fraud allegations.
‘Significant weaknesses’ were found by external auditors examining the scheme.
An extra £154m was approved for the 3,000 home scheme at the end of last year.
