Two people have been arrested after a woman was found in a “critical condition” in a Fair Oak home.
Police attended the property on Ridgeway Close after the woman, in her 60s, was found at the address.
She has been taken to hospital, where she is receiving treatment.
As part of the investigation into how she was injured, officers have made two arrests.
A 61-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman from Fair Oak were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and causing or allowing a vulnerable adult to suffer serious physical harm.
The two have been released on bail while enquiries continue.

According to eyewitnesses, police were at the house since around 6.30pm on Monday, with the property being cordoned off throughout Tuesday.
Forensics teams were seen going in and out, with a police car and officer on scene guard at the back of the house.
Detective Inspector Emma Barrow, the investigating officer, said: "I know it may be concerning for people to see police in the Ridgeway Close area.
"I want to reassure you this is an incident where all of those involved are known to each other and there is no wider concern for the community.
"Officers conducted house-to-house enquiries and were at the address throughout the day yesterday.”
The public has been urged to get in contact with the police if they have any information which may help the force’s enquiries.
