“Pupils value diversity. They are rightly proud of how their school welcomes people from many cultures.”
It is also stated that teachers’ subject knowledge is strong and the school is good at identifying where students with Special Education Needs (SEND) may need extra support.
The inspector continued: “Teachers check pupils’ understanding regularly. They expertly identify and address what pupils do not know before introducing new content.
“This includes identifying the additional help that pupils with SEND may require. Furthermore, teachers make sure that the knowledge pupils must remember is revisited and reviewed frequently.”
Reacting to the positive result, headteacher at Bevois Town Primary, Sarah Sadler, said: "We are absolutely thrilled that the essence of our school values has been recognised and that our fantastic community and the meticulous hard work of all our staff shone through.
“Every member of our school goes above and beyond to ensure that the children thrive. We truly want all our children to smile, sparkle and shine.”
