I am researching information on Joe Smith who took over as Chief Designer at Supermarine following RJ Mitchell\'s death.
As an ex Supermarine apprentice I feel his great contribution to the Spitfire legend is often overlooked. Joe Smith died in 1956.
I am looking for a picture of him or other archive material such as an obituary. Can you help?
