Southampton has been hit with rays of sunshine and as we rattle towards the warmer months – here’s our look ahead to the bank holiday weather.
On Tuesday the city has been graced by sunny cloudless skies and with the UK being set for a bank holiday weekend, many are hoping for the warmer temperatures to stay.
Unfortunately, the weekend weather is looking a little bleak compared to yesterday's sunny spells as the clouds are set to roll back in.
Some areas across Hampshire may even be faced with gusty thunderstorms on Wednesday and further showers on Thursday.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "Murky conditions through the period, heavy, possibly thundery showers Wednesday night.
"Further showers Thursday, becoming heavy and thundery overnight and through Friday. Cloudy on Saturday. Cooler along coasts."
The bank holiday weather:
- Wednesday – 16 degrees, cloudy changing to heavy rain in the afternoon.
- Thursday – 14 degrees, light showers changing to overcast by late morning.
- Friday - 14 degrees, overcast changing to sunny intervals by early evening.
- Saturday - 14 degrees, sunny changing to partly cloudy by nighttime.
- Sunday - 14 degrees, cloudy changing to sunny intervals by early evening.
- Monday – 15 degrees, cloudy changing to light rain by lunchtime.
