A yellow weather warning for heavy rain and thunderstorms has been issued by the Met Office that is set to impact Southampton.
The weather warning is set to last from 8pm on Wednesday, May 1 to 8am the following morning on Thursday, May 2.
It is impacting large swathes of southern England and southern Wales.
In a statement, the Met Office said: "Heavy rain is expected, with a chance of thunderstorms, leading to travel disruption and some flooding."

What to expect with a yellow weather warning
In terms of what to expect with the current yellow warning, the Met Office says there could be:
- Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
- Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services
- There is a slight chance that power cuts could occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost
- There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds

In a statement, the forecaster added: "Spells of heavy rain are expected this evening and overnight.
"In some places, most likely over northern and eastern parts of the warning area, there is a chance that rain will be accompanied by thunderstorms and frequent lightning.
"20 to 40 mm of rain is expected to fall quite widely with 50 mm possible in a few places. In some places much of this rain may fall over a 2 or 3 hour period."
