Police have issued an update after a road rage incident saw a victim punched in the face 30 times.

Officers on patrol in Fareham arrested a 51-year-old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm on Monday, April 29.

According to police, the road rage incident, which took place in Slough, saw a victim punched in the face 30 times, causing him ‘significant injuries’.

An officer involved said: “We arrested a male on suspicion of GBH, where it was alleged that after a road rage incident, he had punched a victim 30 times to the face causing significant injuries.

“This incident took place in Slough and has been handed over to our Thames Valley Police colleagues.”

Thames Valley Police have now offered an update on the situation.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “At around 4.19pm on 29 February we received reports of an assault with injury on Tuns Lane, Slough.

“Officers are investigating the incident.”

The spokesperson continued: “A 51-year-old man from Waterlooville was arrested on suspicion of assault causing GBH, public order, and dangerous driving.

“He has been released on bail.”
