A Southampton car park will be transformed into a hive of creativity as Multi-Stories returns with two days of free activities for the community, including art, skateboarding and breakdance workshops.
Westquay's Multi-Storey Car Park will be bursting into life on Saturday and Sunday (May 18 and 19) from midday onwards.
The one-of-a-kind weekend, which celebrates Southampton's communities, its vibrant culture and the power of creative expression, will bring together art, music, skateboarding, roller skating and a Maker's Market.

On Levels 1 to 3, visitors can watch live as more than 30 local and national artists create a series of large and small-scale permanent murals that take inspiration from 60 years of city life in Southampton.
A series of free art, skateboarding and breakdance workshops will be on offer over the weekend and, new for 2024, a Maker's Market with more than 20 stalls and food vendors.
All this action will be set to a soundtrack of music by local DJs.
Live painting will take place on levels 1, 2 and 3. Skateboarding and roller skating tuition, ramps for the seasoned skater, South Coast Maker’s Market, and music will be located on level 1.
A series of free art workshops are running over the two days, including graffiti workshops, a City Wall design competition, life drawing workshops and drop in chalk and tape drawing.
Multi-Stories is a partnership event between Westquay, Southampton Forward and Paintshop Studio.
Paintshop creative director and renowned mural artist Ricky Also said: "Live painting events like this offer a unique opportunity for people to connect with street art, getting under the skin and witness the creative process first hand.
Claire Whitaker CBE, CEO of Southampton Forward, added: “We look forward to building on the success of last year and to seeing more of the multi-storey car park transformed with beautiful murals in a range of styles. It’s a fun event for local communities that showcases local talent alongside artists from further afield, but also leaves a legacy of more public art in Southampton."
