JAN Poortvliet was understandably delighted after seeing his Saints side pick up their first win of the season.
Saints were simply brilliant as they passed their way to a 1-0 victory against Derby at Pride Park, courtesy of Adam Lallana's second-half goal.
The score-line certainly didn't reflect an irresistible performance that gave Saints their first three points of the season and afterwards the boss was very pleased with what he'd seen.
He said: "I'm so happy with the victory but also the way we did it.
"In the first-half we had some great chances but we stayed calm and played on and it was lovely to see.
"We made the goal and could have made more goals and need to make more goals.
"You lead 1-0 and play like that and keep playing like that - it's lovely.
"The fans were there and it was amazing to hear their songs and they deserve it, we all deserve it and now we go for more."
