A 33-year-old man has been charged with grievous bodily harm after an incident in Kent Street.
On Tuesday, police attended an incident on Kent Street in Northam, with armed police and the air ambulance rushing to the scene.
A man in his 40s was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
He remains in a serious condition, Hampshire Police confirmed on Friday.
Police have now confirmed that Ashley James Lear of Kent Street has been charged with section 20 grievous bodily harm.

The 35-year-old was remanded into custody, and he was due to appear at Southampton Magistrates' Court on Friday.
Police confirmed on Tuesday evening that a 35-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of assault, before saying on Wednesday that he had been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Officers were seen on the first floor of Kent House, a block of flats located on the street.
Police remained on the scene late into the evening and into the next day, with crime scene investigators scouring the building.
