Two sailors have been rescued after their boat started taking on water in the Solent.
Lifeboats from Cowes and Hamble were called to respond to the emergency on Saturday afternoon after the powerboat began taking on water off The Needles.
The Cowes lifeboat had been in the Solent on a training exercise, so volunteered to assist.
Before it arrived on scene, another boat had managed to pump water out of the vessel.
"Eventually the lifeboat escorted the powerboat and its two occupants to Lepe, there Hamble lifeboat took over escort duties as the powerboat carried on to Southampton Water," a spokesperson for Cowes Lifeboat Station said.
The Cowes lifeboat returned to the station at 3.30pm.
