For those not wanting to brave the sea, rivers and lakes we're so lucky to have on our doorstep, Hampshire is home to a fantastic array of outdoor pools, water features, splash parks and paddling pools, the perfect way to keep cool as the weather hots up.
Those looking for a a splash about to cool off if the sun decides to make an appearance over the bank holiday weekend or into May half term should look no further.
Here's our guide to the area's water fun and what opens when.
Lymington Sea Water Baths
Set within the popular Georgian market town of Lymington, you will find the oldest open air sea water baths in the UK. Dating back to 1833, the gigantic baths gained interest from near and far for their health giving waters and natural mud minerals.
Today, young and old still swim in the waters and enjoy the stunning location with views over to the Isle of Wight.
It's open now. Book online for an inflatables session, stand up paddle board or swim.
New Forest Water Park
The lake-based park, near Fordingbridge, offers a range of family friendly activities, including the popular obstacle course, wake boarding, kayaking, stand up paddleboard and open water swimming.

Hanger Farm Pool
The paddling pool is one of three water features run by Totton and Eling Town Council and will open first on Friday May 24.
Testwood Pool, Totton
This paddling pool is yet to open and tends to operate in rotation with Hanger Farm. Check ahead on the Totton and Eling Town Council website.
Eling Recreation Ground
This splash park is a family favourite next to a playground and is currently being refurbished and upgraded. It is hoped it will be ready in time for the school summer holidays if not before.
Fleming Park paddling pool
Located just off of Passfield Avenue in Eastleigh, adjacent to the play area, the Fleming Park paddling pool opens from the last bank holiday weekend in May until the first weekend in September daily from 10am to 7pm.
Hedge End paddling pool
Located at St John's Recreation Ground and managed by Hedge End Town Council, the paddling pool will open in late May and the town council are promising to keep residents updated on an exact date.
The pool will open seven days a week from 10am until the later time of 6pm as part of a trial this year.
Lee-on-the-Solent Splash Park
This is a great spot near to the Beach Road car park with a park nearby. It's currently closed for resurfacing of the splash pad area, but should reopen in days.
Water features operate in summer only and weather permitting.
Gosport Splash Park
Gosport Borough Council have not given an exact opening date, but have confirmed the sea front facility at Stokes Bay facility will be open from 10am - 7pm daily for the summer season.
