A driver who was clocked at 55mph on the M27 has been ordered to pay almost £1,000.

Susan Ramshaw was driving a Kia on the M27 between junctions eight and seven when she was clocked at 55mph. 

The 53-year-old was near Hedge End when she was caught by an automatic camera device.

A 30mph speed limit was in place at the time on May 14, 2023.

Ramshaw, of Perseus Terrace, Gunwharf Quays, pleaded guilty to a single count of exceeding a variable speed limit at Southampton Magistrates' Court this month.

She was ordered to pay a £614 fine and received six points on her licence. 

Ramshaw must also pay £110 court costs and a £246 surcharge. 

This must be paid in full by June 8.
