A Solent University student has finished joint second on a BBC Three reality TV show.

Ella Freer made it to the final of the beauty series Glow Up.

Studying Prosthetics and Special Effects Design, the young talent is the youngest contestant ever to reach the final.

During her time on the show, Freer stood out in the Roblox challenge, which she bagged along with her peer, Connor.

Following her journey in Glow Up and approaching graduation from Solent, Ella aspires to shape a career in the film and TV industry.

Her practical training helped her to impress the judges consistently.

Ella said: "I feel like I can do anything now.

"After experimenting with special effects and using Solent’s studio spaces, university has really shown me how I can express myself creatively.

“Being able to work with other creatives at Solent really helped me prepare to go onto Glow Up. I’ve learned different skills at university, so going onto the show I had lots of experience to bring with me."
