A man has been charged with stealing items from a Co-op store.
Shortly after 8.15pm, CCTV operators in Southampton were alerted to a man who had entered the Co-op in Commercial Road and stole several items on May 25.
Patrolling police were alerted and attempted to speak with the man who was verbally abusive and attempted to evade officers.
Now police have said Cameron Cole, 24, of Shirley Park Road, has been charged with theft and two counts of using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour to cause harassment/alarm or distress.
He is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on June 7.
