A charity tackling crime in Hampshire is urging volunteers to come forward.

CrimeStoppers is looking for people who can volunteer a few hours a month from all communities and can attend events and give talks to raise awareness of the charity.

The charity is also looking for a chair for its committee who has “excellent leadership and networking skills, as well as people with administration and financial skills” in Hampshire and Isle of Wight.

Beth Simpson, Crimestoppers Hampshire Regional Manager said: “If you’re concerned about crime in your town and you have a few hours a month to spare, please consider volunteering with Crimestoppers – you will be making a positive impact in your local area by using your existing skills and knowledge.”

She added: “As a volunteer, you will help us to connect with every community so that we can increase recognition of our charity.

“You will be helping us to let people know about our 24/7 0800 555 111 number or online untraceable form, where information can be given 100% anonymously about crime.

“It’s a great way to use your existing skills to help your local area, or to develop new expertise – all whilst knowing you are making a significant difference to people’s lives.”
