Southampton City Telecare Services has received its 16th consecutive national accreditation.
Awarded by the Telecare Services Association, the team efficiently demonstrated their successful year, including swift response times to alarm calls.
They assist nearly 6,000 residents, with their Careline and Connected Services providing round-the-clock monitoring and assistance.
Councillor Andy Frampton, Cabinet member for housing at Southampton City Council said: "Being able to keep living independently makes such a difference to quality of life for older and disabled people – and our City Telecare team makes it possible for more people in the city to live independent lives for longer.
"The speed of response gives them the assurance that there is help at hand when they need it – and that makes a big difference not only for our service users but crucially also for their families and friends.
"Residents living in sheltered housing and their families also benefit from this invaluable service and can be reassured that they continue to receive a nationally accredited service."
