The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

LIAM ALLEN, 38, of Hill Lane, Southampton pleaded guilty to two counts of sending an offensive, indecent, obscene or menacing message in Totton. He received an 18-month community order with an alcohol abstinence and monitoring requirement for 120 days. He must also complete up to five rehabilitation days and pay £100 compensation plus a £73 fine. He was given a restraining order banning him from contacting one of his victims for the next 18 months. Allen was also ordered to pay £85 court costs. 

STEVEN MAHER, 46, of Atlantic Close, Southampton admitted to driving without insurance at the junction of Ocean Way and Atlantic Close. He was driving an Audi at the time. Maher was banned for six months and received six points on his licence. He must pay a £120 fine as well as £85 court costs and a £48 surcharge.

PAUL HOLDEN, 48, of Ashley Road, Poole pleaded guilty to two counts of theft from a shop after seven calculators, five Lego sets and one gift bag worth a total of £432.50 were stolen from Sainsbury's in Hedge End. He was ordered to pay back the value of the stolen goods in compensation, as well as a £400 fine, £85 court costs and a £106 surcharge. 

SCOTT MILLARD, 37, of Richmond Road, Southampton admitted harassment in breach of a restraining order and harassment without violence. He was jailed for 30 weeks. 

ABDISALAN ALI, 29, of Kent Street, Southampton pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled drug of Class B, namely cannabis. He was fined £138 and must pay £85 court costs plus a £55 surcharge. An order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs. 

ELLIE RAWLES, 19, of Long Lane, Holbury admitted two charges of assault by beating. She received a 12-month conditional discharge and must pay a £26 surcharge.
