Christmas can’t come soon enough for tens of thousands of visitors as the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens at Christmas light trail announces its return for 2024.

Tickets go on sale on Monday, June 3 for the light art trail, an attraction that was enjoyed by more than 72,000 visitors last year.

Co-directors Libby Battaglia and Lucinda Croft said: “We’re so excited to be back at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens and can’t wait to share some incredible new light installations that celebrate our Christmas Wonderland theme.

Ms Battaglia added: “We had such a lot of lovely feedback from last year’s event. For instance, we know many people see it as the start of their family Christmas, and that’s a real honour, but we’ve also listened to what people are asking for, so we’re introducing live entertainment and working hard on expanding our new food and drinks menu.”

Light Up Sir Harold Hillier Gardens at Christmas promises:

  • an all-new light trail, plus the return of some regular favourites
  • a revamped route
  • no price increase for tickets
  • more festive-themed installations that revel in the Christmas spirit
  • a new drinks menu and new street food, including fish & chips, and a wider choice of vegan and vegetarian options

Visitors will also be able to order their Light Up Trails merchandise online in advance.
