A café will close for more than 10 days to make way for Costa Coffee.

The national coffee brand will arrive at Places Leisure Eastleigh this month, replacing the existing Cafeology.

This will make it the fourth Costa Coffee offering in the town.

But the arrival at Places Leisure will provide members with a "new and refreshed café space to relax, socialise and unwind after their activities".

A spokesperson from the leisure centre said: “Rest assured that all other facilities you know and enjoy, such as the gym, swimming pool, and sauna, and steam rooms, will still be available to use during this time.

“As a social enterprise, making a difference to communities is our core purpose, and our goal is to give you maximum value for money whilst continuing to investment back into our facilities.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused while the closure occurs and thank you for your understanding.

“If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to speak to a member of the team.”

The Cafeology café will close from Monday, June 10, with the new Costa Coffee expected to open on Saturday, June 22.

The £25m leisure facility opened its doors to the public in 2017.
