As the county marks the 80th anniversary of D-Day, the Red Arrows are set to be seen from spots across Hampshire – here are the best spots and timings to see them flypast.

At 9.45am today residents near Moors Valley Country Park in areas such as Verwood, Ferndown and Ringwood will be first to catch a glimpse of the Arrows.

Later this afternoon, at around 12.17pm, the Arrows are set to fly south from Bournemouth.

Those watching from the Bournemouth coast will be able to watch the skilled pilots fly across the water and head out towards the Isle of Wight.

The Arrows will take a 10-minute trip around the Isle of Wight, where at about 12.22pm, islanders can get the best views from St Catherine's Point.

Another good place to see the Arrows on the Isle of Wight is Ventnor where the stunt planes will wiz past at 12.28pm.

Before flying back over the Solent, the last place they will be visible from the Isle of Wight is Bembridge where the arrows will fly north over Portsmouth at 12.30pm.

For residents in Gosport and Portsmouth, they will need to be looking to the sky at 12.31pm.

The National Commemoration Event takes place at Southsea Common from 10am on today and the city is even set for a royal visit from the King and Queen.

It will feature tributes and readings, and welcome special guests and dignitaries around the world.

Before heading back to Bournemouth, the Arrows will also be visible from Romsey between 12.36pm and 12.40pm.
