Housebuilder Taylor Wimpey has funded Sarisbury Infant School's recent trip to the Swanwick Brickworks Museum with a £250 donation.

The museum trip familiarised Year 2 students with preventions against Great Fire of London-like incidents, by making their own bricks.

Johanna Copestake, Year 2 leader at Sarisbury Infant School said: "A big thank you to Taylor Wimpey for the donation which helped us reduce the cost of this trip which concludes our Year 2’s work on the Great Fire of London. During the day, they learnt about how bricks were made and also how they are a more suitable building material after the Great Fire of London."

Roz Wells, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties, said: "We are delighted to contribute towards Sarisbury Infant School’s recent trip to the Brickworks Museum.

"As part of the local community, we recognise the importance of providing children with opportunities for experiential learning beyond the school premises."
