A man was threatened and verbally abused by a group of youths on bikes, police said.

The victim, aged in his 30s, was approached by three boys shortly after 6pm on May 24.

A member of the group verbally abused and threatened the victim before all three boys cycled off along Parham Drive and in the direction of Shakespeare Road.

The incident occurred in Woodside Avenue.

The boy who threatened the victim is described as aged between 14 and 16 years, wearing blue tracksuit bottoms and carrying a red bag.

Officers from Hampshire Constabulary are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

A spokesperson said: “If you were in the area at the time and witnessed anything of the incident, or you know the identity of any of the group, please contact 101 and quote incident number 44240218575.

“We’d also like to hear from you if you have any footage of the incident, including CCTV, dash cam, mobile phone or doorbell camera.
