A new cat hotel is set to open in Bursledon which will offer five-star accommodation for feline guests while their owners are on holiday.

The latest addition to the Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel Group, Longcroft Bursledon, will be the 25th hotel to open under the brand.

Longcroft Bursledon is owned and run by cat lover Sheryl Downing and sits in her landscaped garden.

Located in a conservation area with views of the historic Bursledon Windmill, the luxury cat hotel is due to open its doors to guests from the beginning of July 2024.

The hotel includes six luxury suites, each built to the same exacting standards as those of all of Longcroft’s hotels.

Every suite has its own climate-controlled bedroom, leading to a private play area with fresh air circulating, and complete with multi-storey viewing platforms.

“Due to our proximity to this beautiful conservation area, we have an extraordinary variety of bird life passing by, and the calls and chatter are always a pleasure to hear.

“I read an article in a magazine about Longcroft founder, Abi Purser, opening a luxury cat hotel in her garden in Hertfordshire.

“I thought that would be such a wonderful lifestyle - to do something I enjoy, spending time with gorgeous kitties.

“I look forward to meeting other cat lovers like me and being able to offer a home-away-from-home to their beloved pets, to give them complete peace of mind when they are away.”
