Police have charged a man with theft in connection with an incident at a Sainsbury’s store.
According to Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary, a bottle of wine was suspected to have been stolen from the supermarket in Bedford Place, shortly after 8am on Wednesday, June 5.
Since then, police have charged Karl Joseph Avellino, 40, of Falkland Road in Eastleigh, with theft.
Avellino is next due to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on July 9.
