Tom Jones didn't perform at the original Isle of Wight Festivals held in the late 1960s and early 1970s. However, he made his first triumphant appearance on the Isle of Wight Festival stage in 2011,
He delivered a powerful performance at the age of 71, belting out his classics to a delighted crowd.
The festival ran from June 9th to 12th, 2011, and Tom Jones performed on Saturday, June 11th. You can even see videos of his performance available online, including his rendition of the classic "Delilah."
It was the 10th revived Isle of Wight Festival and was headlined by Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters, Kasabian, and Pulp.
Tom Jones was a special guest performer.
He returned to Seaclose Park a decade later in 2021 to perform once again. He was 81 at the time.
