A body has been found in toilets at an Asda store.
Emergency services were called to Asda in West Quay Road, Poole on Saturday evening at around 8.15pm to reports of a man needing medical attention.
One woman who witnessed the incident said she saw three ambulances and “multiple” police cars on scene as well as “a lot of commotion in the men’s toilets”.
However, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers are now trying to identify and inform his next of kin.
The circumstances surrounding his death are not yet known, but officers are not treating it as suspicious.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “Dorset Police received a report at 8.15pm on Saturday 8 June 2024 of a man requiring medical attention at the Asda store in West Quay Road in Poole.
“Officers attended to assist the ambulance service.
“Very sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries are ongoing to identify and inform the man’s next of kin.
“His death is currently not being treated as suspicious.”
Asda was approached, but declined to comment.
