Travellers have been seen setting up camp on the grounds of a leisure centre.
A group from the travelling community arrived in the car park of Fareham Leisure Centre today.
The council has confirmed they are working with the police and are working to regain the land from the group.
Police officers from Fareham will be carrying out reassurance patrols throughout the day in the area.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said: “We are aware that a group from the travelling community have set up camp at the Fareham Leisure Centre car park.
“In partnership with the council we will be assessing the camp and location, ensuring we take into consideration the needs of both communities.
"Our officers will support the local authority and will be carrying reassurance patrols throughout the day."
