A woman was shocked to discover her sixth-floor apartment had been pelted with eggs upon returning from holiday.

Ewa Wiśniewska and her partner were greeted with the sticky surprise on Monday after enjoying a long weekend away.

The 24-year-old is struggling to understand how and why someone lobbed eggs at her sixth-floor window.

Ewa, who moved into the apartment in Centenary Quay last July, said she hopes the attack is random.

She said: “We were really surprised to see someone has done this, because we live on the sixth floor, and we can’t imagine them throwing the eggs this high.

“It is nothing you ever expect really. We have no idea who has done it.”

Ewa posted pictures of her egg splattered window on the area’s Facebook group.

She hopes someone will come forward with information so she can find out why this was done.

Ewa said: “I hope somebody might help and know who did this or saw something.

“People have said it might have come from the tower block in front of ours, thrown from above.

“Someone might say they saw some kids throwing the eggs, I don’t know yet.”

Although Ewa’s window can be opened, she is anticipating a difficult attempt at clearing the mess.

Being on the sixth floor will make it challenging to reach and remove the egg, she said.

Ewa added: “I imagine it will take a lot of work to remove it, especially as it is now dried.

“But I am going to give it a go and see what happens.

“We have no idea who has done this so I think it is random, but unfortunately our window was targeted.

“I’m worried someone saw our cat tree by the window and tried to scare our cats, but I think I’m being paranoid.

“All I want is for the person to explain what the reasoning was behind this action because I find it strange someone would throw an egg at a stranger’s apartment.

“Why has this happened?

“I am not reporting it to the police – I just want to know why.”
