The Royal British Legion is looking for new recruits for the Poppy Appeal in Eastleigh, Chandler's Ford, and Southampton.
The appeal supports current service personnel, veterans, and their families by raising funds through activities such as organising collections in supermarkets and shopping centres.
In recent years the number of collectors has dwindled, leading to a plea for new faces in 2024.
Those who step forward will gain experience volunteering for a national charity and will receive training, support, and guidance.
Poppy Appeal Manager Claire Smith said that volunteers are "more important than ever," adding that anyone interested can contact her via email at csmith4@britishlegion.org.uk, by phone on 07526 200209, or by visiting the website: rbl.org.uk/poppyvolunteer.
Without extra help, poppies - the nation's symbol of remembrance - could become limited.
No military connection is needed to volunteer.
