Although there are no road closures in place during or prior to the event, organisers have warned motorists that there could be some minor delays.

A spokesperson for the Dene Rally commented: “We expect slow moving steam vehicles on the A31 and A32 heading towards Monkwood on the Friday (June 21) and Saturday (June 22).”

They went on to say: “We have over 40 steam engines this year, many of which will make their way to us under their own steam.”
