Music fans got to see boy band Blue, Jamelia, McFly, Girls Aloud, Javine Hylton, Mark Owen, Natasha Bedingfield, PHIXX and more - all for free!

Power in the Park 2004 was a free pop concert organised by Power FM and held on Southampton Common on Sunday, June 13.

Despite being free, the tenth show of its kind was the first to be ticketed, with a maximum capacity of 30,000 people.

The concert was a huge success, with all the tickets being snapped up quickly.

The atmosphere was electric, and the crowd enjoyed a day of great music and sunshine.

However, the soaring temperature was too much for some, with 117 people having to be treated by Hampshire Ambulance Service for the effects of heat.

The Daily Echo recently published a quiz on some of the acts who performed that year, but now the focus shifts to the crowd.
