A spokesperson from the fire service said: “One of the HIWFRS animal rescue specialists were called to a garden in Portsmouth this afternoon after a large corn snake was found underneath the shed.
“Working alongside an RSPCA inspector, the HIWFRS officer attended the property on Ranelagh Road after a call from the police at around half 12.”
The shed was dismantled to free the snake before it was taken to a specialist vet by the RSPCA whilst the animal’s owner is found.
