A council road sweeper got stuck in a ditch after a reversing 'at slow speed'.
The vehicle was spotted teetering precariously in Bursledon Road on Tuesday afternoon.
The front of the sweeper – operated by Eastleigh Borough Council - was lifted into the air.
Two workmen watched helplessly as the vehicle slipped backwards.

Residents took to social media to make light of the situation.
Posting on Facebook, one person quipped “can’t park there mate”, while another said “I know some of these run off of ‘green energy’ but come on, that’s a little too far.”
One commenter added: “We drove past this laughing!”
The council confirmed the incident occurred when the rear wheel of the vehicle slipped off the pavement into a shallow drainage ditch while it was reversing at slow speed.
Luckily, no one was injured.
The vehicle will undergo a full safety inspection before re-entering service.
