Delays are expected in Southampton today following the conclusion of the Isle of Wight Festival.
The four-day music festival wrapped up with headliners Green Day on Sunday night, with festival goers expected to make their way back to the mainland via the Red Funnel ferry.

In a statement on X, formerly known as Twitter, a spokesperson for Southampton Travel – Southampton City Council and Balfour Beatty Highways Partnership – said: “The Isle of Wight Festival is finishing today; we are expecting the waterfront to be busy with people making their way home from the Red Funnel ferry.”
They added: “Please plan any journeys to the waterfront in advance.”
