Suella Braverman still has 24-hour security due to threats and harassment she receives.
The Fareham MP and former home secretary told the BBC she still has the same protection she had while in government following a number of incidents.
On one recent trip to a supermarket, the MP said people called her a "genocidal bleep" in front of her children in an "aggressive, abusive, intimidatory and harassing" attack.
Speaking on BBC Radio 4's The Deadly Business of Democracy she said she was followed to the checkouts before the people then phoned their friends to join in.
"It's obviously about the issue to do with Israel and Hamas," she said. "And a couple of people came very close up to me. They said ‘Hey, this is Suella Braverman. You're a genocidal bleep'."

Ms Braverman was then surrounded by her security and the situation was defused.
In February, the Government announced a £31m budget for security for politicians following the murder of Jo Cox in 2016 and Sir David Amess in 2021.
She added: "It's not an excuse to tell someone you're going to kill them or rape them or kill their child.
“I’ve never incited violence. I've never threatened to attack anybody. I've never encouraged anybody to be violent.
"I have set out very legitimate views, about political issues because I'm a politician and it's my job to do so.”
In a separate incident, pro-Palestinian activists also found out where her husband worked and sent abusive phone messages to him.
The comments come after Romsey and Southampton North MP Caroline Nokes said she is scared that those standing in the election will come under personal attack.
It follows an incident which saw Wajid Shah, from Slough, Berkshire, jailed for emailing death threats to Ms Nokes - along with Theresa May, Lord Blunkett, Baroness Lister, MP Tan Dhesi and former MP Mark Lancaster.
He was sentenced in November 2020.
Liam McCarthy, 33, of Copperfield Road, Southampton, was recently sentenced to seven months in prison for the threats he made to Ms Nokes.
This took place between May 15, 2022 and March 4, 2023.
