Dobbies garden centre is launching a Teddy Bears' Picnic event at its Cadnam store this summer, aimed at families with children aged 3-10 years.
The 90-minute session, set to take place on July 27 and August 3 and 4 in the afternoon, will offer children the chance to create a teddy bear keepsake.
Younger children are also welcomed to enjoy the picnic experience. At the event, children are encouraged to stuff, fluff, and name a teddy bear. Additionally, a teddy birth certificate will be issued as a keepsake.
As part of the event, Dobbies staff members will entertain attendees with bear adventure narratives from the storytelling corner, and organise games inspired by teddies.
The event also incorporates a picnic offering. Kids will receive a box containing a choice of sandwich, a drink and an array of snacks.
Adults can enjoy cake and a hot drink. Tickets for the event cost £15.99 for children over 3 and £7.99 for children under three. Adult tickets are available for £7.40.
Due to safety measures, the teddy bear creation activity is only suitable for children over three. Children under three are advised to bring their favourite teddy.
Sarah Murray at Dobbies said: "This brand-new event is a great opportunity for kids to come together and experience the wonderful joy that comes with making their very own teddy bear to take home.
"Children will also enjoy a picnic experience, filled with food, fun and storytelling. We’re encouraging families cosy up and get comfy by bringing their own picnic blankets, beach towel or cushions."
