A thief who stole a bronze statue worth nearly £5,000 and a £3,000 electric bicycle has been jailed.
James Robert Wood, of Cutforth Way, Romsey was sentenced to 15 months in prison following a number of offences over the last year.
On May 27, he stole a wheel from a vehicle on Botley Road in Romsey.
Just weeks before, on April 13, 2024, he stole a bronze statue worth £4,980 and a pair of garden gloves from an address in Emery Down.

On the same day he also stole an electric bicycle worth £3,000 from another address in the same area.
The 33-year-old also stole a number plate from a vehicle on Fordingbridge High Street on August 25, 2023 and on August 16, 2023, Wood attempted to burgle an address on Ashford Close, Fordingbridge.
Damage was caused to a a garden shed during an attempt to gain entry.
He was also sentenced for a theft at Ivy Cross in Shaftesbury on October 27, 2023, and a burglary and criminal damage on Ulwell Road in Swanage.
He was sentenced at Southampton Crown Court on Tuesday (June 25.
