Floral tributes have been left at the scene of a fatal crash where a 20-year-old motorcyclist lost his life.
Kieran Short, 20, died in the crash on Thursday after the black motorbike he was riding was involved in a collision with two cars.
The incident on the A334 in Shedfield has since led to an online fundraising page being set up to help with funeral costs.
And now balloons, cards, flowers and a photograph have been left at the scene in a touching tribute to the young biker.
One of the cards left read: “Darling Kieran, taken too soon, RIP my gorgeous boy! Love you loads, Mum + Jon”
Another message left on the roadside said: “I’m so sorry this has happened. It’s a terrible way to go. I’d have loved to have met you.”
It added: “Hopefully you’re at peace wherever you are. Rest Peacefully Ash.”
On Friday a fundraiser was launched by Kieran's mother, Karen Harley, who paid tribute to her son saying his death was a “huge shock to us all as a family”.
She said Kieran, a dispatch handler for South Central Ambulance Service and whose dream was to become a paramedic, was on his way to work at the time of the crash.
Karen added: “Our son was a fun-loving boy, enjoyed being with his family, his partner and friends. [He] especially loved the freedom of his motorcycle and embraced every moment life had to offer.
“In his memory, we would like to provide our special boy with the send-off and celebration of his life in the way he deserves.
“I wish to thank all our friends, family and the perfect stranger, who has kindly sent well wishes and condolences. We as a family find them all of great comfort.”
Police and paramedics were called to the scene of the incident at 5.42pm on Thursday.
The force has now asked for anyone with information on the crash to get in touch to assist in their enquiries.
A spokesperson said: “We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who has dashcam footage which could help us with our investigation.
“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting the reference 44240271552. Alternatively, you can go online and submit information.”
